Drainable, Dryable & Testable (DDT) High-Temperature Conduit systems are specifically designed to provide maximum insulation efficiency with minimum heat loss from 200°F to over 1,000°F.  In order to maintain maximum efficiency, DDT systems are designed to be rehabilitated while in service should they ever become wet.  These systems are designed with an air space between the pipe insulation and the conduit to increase insulation efficiency and life.

GALVA-GARD®, “The Ultimate Corrosion Fighter” is a prefabricated, preinsulated, fiberglass clad galvanized steel conduit system for low to high pressure steam, HTHW and general fluid transportation.






GALVA-GARD®  the original “corrosion fighter” just got better. As always, galvanization is applied to the exterior, as well as the interior of the outer pipe providing a clean, corrosion resistant system for underground heat distribution. Now PERMA-PIPE® has added a thick cladding of fiberglass reinforced plastic on top of the galvanized system for maximum resistance to adverse corrosion and environmental conditions. There is no need for cathodic protection. The outer conduit is clad with our filament wound fiberglass cladding 100 mils thick and designed to withstand a 35,000 volt holiday test. GALVA-GARD® is a smooth wall, hot dipped galvanized, 10 gauge steel conduit. Single or multiple steel carrier pipes can be insulated with any type of pipe insulation. We recommend mineral wool that has passed a certified boiling test. Other options for this piping system include a Energy Loss Detection and Location system and electric heat tracing.

MID-TEMP HI-GARD™, is designed for distribution of fluids aboveground at temperatures of 250º F and higher. Based on customer specifications, this is a prefabricated system with all fittings attached to straight sections.






MID-TEMP – HI-GARD™, Provides a cost effective and low maintenance cost alternative to traditional field insulated piping systems. PERMA-PIPE® can design a custom system that can be supplied, preinsulated to your specifications, in most cases at a lower cost.  PERMA-PIPE®‘s MID-TEMP – HI-GARD™ reduces field installation cost by eliminating expensive slide supports and maintenance cost by eliminating corrosion under insulation problems.  Options include steam tracing, electric heat tracing, and leak detection.
