Polyurethane Foam Engineered and Design for fluid temperature between up to 210°F.  Special design considerations need to be considered if these systems are used up to 250°F.  A wide selection of outer jacket materials are available to meet your project requirements.  For maximum system efficiency we suggest using a void-free, spray applied foam to protect not only the heat loss/gain but also the primary pipe and outer jacket.

POLYTHERM® is the best pre-insulated piping system we offer. It is a fiberglass jacketed, polyurethane foam insulated piping system for above and belowground distribution of liquids from -320°F to 250°F.


POLYTHERM® is a fiberglass jacketed, spray applied polyurethane foam insulated piping system for above and below ground distribution of liquids from -320°F to 250°F. PERMA-PIPE’s multi-directional filament winding process produces a high strength fiberglass reinforced polyester resin jacket over the insulation for maximum protection from the environment. This high-strength fiberglass jacket is applied to systems having an outside diameter as large as 48 inches. Electric heat tracing is an option with this system.

POLYTHERM®‘s spray insulation process assures void-free insulation. By applying insulation before the jacket is applied, complete visual inspection of the insulation is performed. This process assures void-free insulation and therefore, maximum thermal efficiency to provide optimum performance of cryogenic and heat thermal distribution systems. The POLYTHERM® system is fully engineered to job specifications, thereby reducing field costs by providing custom made, factory-fabricated fittings which reduce the number of field connections as compared to the field kit method.

XTRU-THERM®, our “State of the Art” preinsulated piping system for fluids from cryogenic temperatures up to 250ºF. The extruded HDPE jacket results in a completely bonded system that moves as a single unit for maximum efficiency and service life.


XTRU-THERM® is a process driven product, developed to eliminate problems inherent in foam injected systems. The pipe is insulated using a special spray applied continuos feed insulating process which works in line with our extruded high density polyethylene plastic material.  The JACKET remains flexible at low temperatures and has a higher temperature rating than PVC. The HDPE  jacket has been specifically designed to bond to the insulation. Designed for both above and underground insulated pipe applications. The hardness, tensile and flexural strength, toughness, diameter and thickness of the jacket are controlled.

The foam insulation is spray-applied and rises, unrestricted, to its final thickness. The free rise allows cell structure of the foam to be uniform in all directions. Because the foam is spray-applied and not injected, XTRU-THERM® is guaranteed to be 100% void-free. The blowing agent (HCFC, a gas that expands the foam and creates cell structure) does not dissipate from the cell like other water-based agents. Therefore, the cell structure and thermal value is maintained and the foam will not shrink.

TERRA-GARD™, is an economical choice for a preinsulated, prefabricated pipe and fitting system. The system is designed based on your system layout. The system consist of a carrier pipe, foam injected insulation and an outer jacket.


TERRA-GARD™, is an economical choice for an underground distribution system that will provide many years of efficient service. The system is designed based on your specification and system layout. The system consist of a carrier pipe, foam injected insulation and an outer jacket.  Options include heat tracing and energy loss detection and location system.  The choices for carrier pipe materials are carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, copper and solvent welded PVC and CPVC.  The polyurethane foam is injected into the outer jacket and is a closed cell design which provides superior energy savings over open cell foams.

DUAL-GARD™ 250 is a cost effective factory preinsulated system for the distribution of chilled water and hot water and condensate up to 250ºF.The system is provided with a FRP pipe inside a PVC outer jacket.

DUAL-GARD™ 250 is a cost effect factory preinsulated system for hot water, condensate or chilled water distribution.  The system is provided with an epoxy or vinylester fiberglass pipe inside an outer jacket. The system is supplied in 20, 30 or 40 foot lengths depending on pipe manufacture. All fittings are supplied by PERMA-PIPE®. All fittings require a concrete thrust block poured around each change in direction. Pipe sizes are from 2″ to 12″, larger sizes are available in our XTRU-THERM® product line. Field joints are not insulated by design but can be provided as an option. When used for condensate return special design requirements exist, please contact PERAM-PIPE® for more information.

ECONO-GARD™ is a contractor friendly product, designed to be completed in the field. Straight sections of pipe are factory insulated and jacketed for delivery to the jobsite ready for field insulation and jacketing of joints and fittings.


ECONO-GARD™ is a factory insulated piping for fast, easy and economical installation. Designed to be completed in the field by cutting our preinsulated straight sections and insulating the fittings with our insulation fitting kits. The system is available with all types of carrier pipes and fitting combinations to complete any system economically in the field. All carrier pipe fittings are purchased by the installing contractor.  Lengths are supplied in 20 or 40 foot lengths. In most cases the preinsulated pipe is in stock for quick shipping.

LO-TEMP – HI-GARD™, is a designed for the distribution of fluids aboveground at temperatures up to 250 ºF. Based on customers specifications, this is a prefabricated system with all fittings attached to straight sections.
